Form Photo & Signature

Make photos & signatures fit exam / job form rules — exact pixel dimensions and an exact KB size range, at the best possible quality.

Produce a photograph or signature at the exact pixel dimensions and file size an online form demands — cropping, resizing, converting and compressing in one pass.

The problem this solves

Online application forms impose two constraints that pull against each other: exact pixel dimensions, and a file size band in kilobytes. Meeting both means cropping to the right ratio, resizing to the exact pixels, converting to JPEG, and then tuning the quality until the file lands inside the band — in that order, because doing it any other way re-encodes an already-compressed image and produces visible artifacts.

This tool does all four steps in one place, so you do not have to chain four separate tools and remember the order.

How to use it

  1. Upload your photograph or signature — HEIC from an iPhone is accepted directly.
  2. Choose a preset, or enter the exact dimensions and target size band your form requires.
  3. Adjust the crop so the head is framed correctly, or the signature is tight in frame.
  4. Generate, check the reported dimensions and file size, then download.

Frequently asked questions

My file is under the minimum size. What do I do?

Raise the JPEG quality rather than changing the dimensions. A 200 × 230 photograph at quality 95 is substantially larger than the same image at quality 75, with the pixel dimensions unchanged and the appearance slightly better.

Why does my photo look stretched?

The image was resized to the target dimensions without first cropping to the matching aspect ratio. Crop to the ratio, then resize. This tool does that in the right order automatically when you use a preset.

Can I upload a PNG or HEIC to my form?

Almost certainly not — these portals require JPEG. This tool outputs JPEG by default for that reason, and accepts HEIC as input so iPhone users do not need a separate conversion step.

Is it safe to prepare my signature here?

Your signature is a specimen used to authenticate you, so where you process it genuinely matters. Nothing is uploaded here — the image is handled entirely by JavaScript in your own browser tab and is discarded when you close it.

Can I use a background remover on my form photo?

For replacing a cluttered background with plain white on an otherwise genuine, recent, correctly-posed photograph, yes — that is what a studio would do. Do not alter your appearance.

Do you have a preset for my exam?

There are presets for the most common specifications, and you can enter any dimensions and size band manually. Since requirements change, checking your notification and entering the values directly is the safest approach.
